ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS


  • Provide licensing and regulatory updates to Airport on Standard and Recommended Practices issued by CAAM and ICAO. Report any new or updated information to Section Senior Manager.
  • Keeping good and professional relationship with regulatory authorities and aviation industry operators.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating with the authority, MA Sepang, MASB and relevant Division on yearly Aerodrome Certification process such as Certification Inspection, Follow-up inspection, Scheduled Inspection, Self Assessment, Competency Test and etc.
  • Managing and Oversight the Aerodrome Certification Program.
  • Provide advice and confirmation of airport facilities and infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety, regularity and efficiency for safe operations and identify deficiencies for immediate correction.
  • Managing ICAO/CAAM inspection, reporting of non-conformance matter and provide assistance/guidance on action plan. 
  • Recommend appropriate steps to resolve any findings issued by CAAM auditors.
  • Provide advice on Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) related to Aerodrome i.e. CAD 14, Annex 14 and other related document
  • Providing support to various divisions in MAHB and subsidiaries on compliances i.e development projects.
  • Reviewing of documentation for conformance to Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) for development projects.
  • To continuously improve Aerodrome Standard functions and task to ensure aerodrome compliance is sustainable.
  • Assist in coordination and communicate on issues relating to aerodrome requirement and compliance with external and international agencies.
  • Coordination on aerodrome data requirement with government and other stakeholder
  • Collaboration with AIS CAAM in updating Information for Publication i.e. AIP, AIP Amendment, AIP Supplement and AIP Circular
  • Implement and manage Aerodrome Self-Assessment Program

      

Key Challenges

  • To ensure safety, efficiency and compliance of all airports facilities and maintaining the Aerodrome Certificate of all airports under Malaysia Airports.      


Skills

  • Well verse in Annex 19, CAD 19, ICAO Doc 9859 and sound knowledge in ICAO Aerodrome related manuals & industry best practices, 
  • Knowledge in aerodrome operational environment is an advantage, 
  • Excellent writing, communication, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills and good flair in English both writing and speaking,
  • Results-driven, independent, charismatic and resourceful
  • Ability to lead effectively a multi-discipline of managers and executives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to solve problem, balanced with accountability for hands-on delivery.


Education

EXTERNAL

  • Degree preferably in Aviation (Operations/ EngineeringTransport)
  • Master degree would be an added advantage
